A Longhorns tutorial on getting a summer body

By: Skye Blank, Staff Writer

Beach weather is right around the corner! Time for us to lose all the weight we’ve gained from holiday dinners. With these easy steps you can learn how to get your summer body back in no time!

Remember: A tip for better results is to cut out junk foods and eat as healthy as possible! Also getting the right amount of sleep is key.

Warm up: Start with a 5 minute warm up jog. After sprint for one minute on the treadmill then jog for a minute, keep doing this for 20 minutes straight. If you have hard time going to 20 minutes the first few time you do this warm up, then start at a pace that works for you and then work up to 20+ minutes. The point of doing this is to increase your heart rate then lower it over and over again. A tip for this warm up is to do this with low food intake so your body takes the energy from the fat source instead of what you just ate, this will make results show faster. If you don’t have a treadmill you can do this outside.
