Valentine’s day is around the corner, so now is the time to think about what to get your loved one. Candy? Flowers? A Card? Maybe even cinnamon rolls? Valentine’s day can get hectic, especially if you’re not the best with cooking or baking. Also being hungry and in a hurry isn’t the best combination, and can leave us in a not so great mood, but throw on your apron, grab your oven mitts, and invest 15 minutes for this delicious treat. Here’s a recipe for all you lovely (lazy) ladies and gentlemen out there on a mission to make your partner something delicious to show your love and care.
-1 can (12.4 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated
cinnamon rolls with icing
-Pink or red food color
-Sprinkles (if desired)
Step 1: Heat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheet with nonstick silicone baking mat or cooking parchment paper.
Step 2: Remove dough from can; set icing aside. Separate dough into 8 rolls. Use knife to gently cut around spiral in each roll so dough can be unrolled. Unroll each cinnamon roll. Re-roll dough from both ends at the same time until ends meet in center. Pinch flat bottoms into a point to form heart shapes. Place on cookie sheet.n
Step 3: Bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
Step 4: Place 1 to 2 drops food color in the icing; stir to get desired color. Place icing in a sandwich-size food-storage plastic bag. Seal bag; snip off one bottom corner of bag. Squeeze the bag and design the cinnamon rolls. Top with candy sprinkles. Let stand until icing is set before serving.
